On the occasion of the observance of International Nurses Day (May 12), the Association ORL Škola Tuzla – ENT School Tuzla, in cooperation with the Clinic for Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases and Head and Neck Surgery of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, as well as the Department of the Faculty of Medicine in Tuzla, will hold a workshop tomorrow entitled “Nursing Procedures for Patients with a Tracheostomy.”
The workshop will take place on April 28, 2026, at the Clinic for Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases and Head and Neck Surgery, starting at 1:00 PM. Head nurses and medical technicians from clinics who frequently encounter patients with tracheostomy cannulas in their daily work will attend the workshop, with the aim of further education, improving knowledge, and exchanging experiences in the care of these patients.
International Nurses Day is observed on May 12 in honor of the birth of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. This date highlights the key role of nurses and medical technicians in the healthcare system, emphasizing their professionalism, compassion, and importance in patient care.
